How to protect face and body skin during the cold weather

I have learned this balm recipe during the “Winter beauty therapy” workshop held by Dr. Aromatherapist Aude Maillard.

Since the winter was quite soft this year, I have applied it especially when I played outdoor tennis 🎾 and during holidays at ski ⛷.

FEEDBACK AFTER I HAVE USED IT

The balm has a very good affinity with the skin, it is quickly absorbed even if it contains mainly oils and butter. It also is well protecting and nourishing it. In fact, it creates a barrier generating the right conditions for autonomous skin physiological functioning.

The balm is helping the skin to conserve the immunity versus traditional creams which actually create a dependency and freezing the natural skin immunity by assisting it.

I would compare it with parents who care of their children by doing for them all things instead of teaching them how to manage by themselves.

INGREDIENTS

The contains only organic natural ingredients and it takes 5 min to prepare it. The only challenge you might have is to find the ingredients:

🌱Organic macadamia nuts vegetable oil: 7 g
🌱Organic avocado 🥑 butter: 33 g
🌱Organic Pomegranate CO2 extract: 10 g

If you do not find avocado butter, you could try replacing it with 🌱Organic Nilotica shea butter. Nilotica is a type of shea nut.

HOW TO PREPARE

Put all the ingredients into a bowl. One by one.

f

Put the bowl into a pan with water.

Put the pan on the stove. You need to heat the water, so that the ingredients are melting into the bowl. Just pay attention that no water would go into the bowl.

f

When all ingredients have melted, you take the bowl out of the stove. You let it cool down a little bit.

Pour the liquid into the tube.

f

When it cools down, it transforms from a liquid into an oily cream.

Easy, isn’t?

CONSERVATION TIME

6 months

WHAT’S NEXT

Still, I have some balm left. I am applying it on hands now. I think could be also used while protecting against the external aggressions like the wind, salty see water etc. I recommend it and plan to do it next winter again.

Spring 🌸 is here and time for the “Spring beauty therapy” workshop, which is held by Dr. Aromatherapist Aude Maillard end of March in Paris.

Eager to attend, discover and unfold the beauty of nature into my life!
