Organic apple cider vinegar

Organic apple cider vinegar

I have shared with you last week how to bring brightness to the hair due to just one drop of Ylang-Ylang essential oil added to your dose of shampoo or hair conditioner.

I will continue with the next part of the hair care ritual. Once I washed the hair, before combing and drying it, I spray organic apple cider vinegar diluted in water. The vinegar can be apple or honey. The ideal: an unpasteurized organic cider apple vinegar, produced in a traditional way.

I use a proportion of 20% vinegar into 80% water. I put it in a bottle with pump and spray it on wet hair before combing. The hair is becoming easier to detangle. I prepare a fresh quantity of mist each time I use it. After that I brush and dry. No need for extra rinse.

After I dry, there no specific vinegar smell that can be sensed. I tested it at the beginning during the weekend to be sure. Absolutely no smell after I dry the hair.

Apple cider vinegar brings SOFTNESS and VOLUME to hair. First time I tried it, the effect was immediately visible. My colleague asked me if I have cut my hair or what have I done since there was a difference. It is incredible taking into account how simple and how cost effective it is.

One learning: I have started to apply it directly on the hair and then I have noticed that it is aggressing the face or neck skin. Therefore, I have decided to use a bottle with pump and spray the mixed water with vinegar on wet clean hair. Then I brush and style as usual.

I knew about vinegar for the hair from my mother and grand mother, however was buying and using a vinegar mist from same company I had my shampoo. It is positioned as a botanical product.

Look at the composition. It ranks 14 out of 100 max possible as effect in health on #yuka_app. It means it does more harm than good being almost at lowest level. I have made some screenshots.

It contains BHT, with ”demonstrated endocrine disruptor effects, particularly on thyroid function. It may also have effects on the sex hormones and may affect fertility and development”. Scaring! It also contains several types of PEGs (the list of strange ingredients on the picture), which are polluting our bodies and also the nature.

The “cocktail of chemicals” costs around 30 euro a 125 ml bottle. We pay to damage our health! Why not buy for 2 euro an organic apple cider 750 ml bottle?

Efficient, cost effective and healthy. We respect ourselves and the nature! 🦋
